It's not really about taking pictures of high school seniors
Surprised? Anyone with a nice camera can claim to do that!
"Then what exactly do YOU DO??" you might be asking.
What I do is make sure to create a “once-in-a-lifetime experience” for your child who is about to complete a major milestone in their life. Finishing 12 years of schooling and starting off on a new chapter in their life.
I observe their expressions when we meet for the first time. I engage them in questions about themselves and ask them to tell me more about what they do, what they like, how they feel about being photographed.
I settle their nervousness, encourage their input on how they may want to express themselves in photographs. Harnessing the energy that young adults have, and let them describe to me what they like about images that they brought to show me.
What do I do for YOU, the parents?
I create for you images of your child that, when they’re gone from home in a few short months, will greet you after a long day at work. Images that are displayed in your home will speak to you as if they are right there in the room with you, through that look in their eyes or that quite smile I captured.
I hope you can see that I’m NOT just a photographer, but someone who understands what your about to go through. I’m honored when a parent trusts me to create these images, because I know that you will be comforted when you glance up over your computer screen to see your child’s portrait displayed on your family room wall. It will bring a little smile on your face when you remember what a wonderful time they had being the “rock star”, “fashionista” or “sports hero” at the photo shoot.
Do I try to photograph everybody in the graduating class?
Nope….just the people who can connect and resonate with what I truly believe in above. If that’s you, let’s connect. Our studio hours are Monday through Friday 12noon till 6p.m. If I miss you please leave me a number that I can reach you at, home or work is fine.
Thank you….I look forward to chatting with you soon. -Tom
